In his recent interview with David Green, Founder of Hobby Lobby, the CEO of Signatry, Bill High, makes a statement that we at eMite could not agree with more.  Mr. High states “generosity is a great training ground for passing on values.” In this single statement we believe that Mr. High captures the great value in showing those who come after you, your children, the true value behind acting out the principles of kindness and love.  In other words, we can talk all we want about how we love others and how showing kindness is of greatest value, not only in the lives of those we give to but also in our own lives, but it is in the act of generosity that we show forth that principle of love and kindness to others that truly makes the impact desired.  

It is through action that we make the greatest impact.  The interview goes on to discuss how Mr. Green and his family are demonstrating the principle of generosity through their actions.  In his own words Mr. Green voices the impact made, “the children catch on and see the joy in that and they see that their lives need to be more than just piling up stuff in this life.”  What a powerful statement. We all want to pass on values worth living to our children but we so often overlook what a potent tool generosity is in making this a reality.
