Project 19 Update 7/30/20: Behind each baby saved through Project 19 is a team of incredibly dedicated women who work towards advocating and caring for orphaned and abandoned babies. Part of this is celebrating and praying for each other in each season of life. Whether they are counseling a soon to be new momma, changing their 10th diaper of the day, providing postnatal care, or comforting a crying baby, they do it together as a team showing love each step of the way. Each day is different, and each day brings its own obstacles. Still, the Baby Rescue Team remains committed to being an advocate that will intervene on behalf of desperate young mothers and their precious babies to ensure their children's best future.
We want to thank you for giving to Project 19. Your donation saves lives in Johannesburg, South Africa, and helps little ones have a fighting chance at life. #DoGoodGlobally

#BabyRescueNews💙
We are excited to announce the Impact Baby Home welcomed Baby Boy A and Baby L this week! These babies will be taken care of and loved by the Impact Baby rescue team until they find their forever family.
COVID19 has had a significant impact on impoverished communities around the world. This pandemic, in conjunction with the lockdown in South Africa, has created an even more challenging environment for parents that are unable to care for their little ones. Impact Africa is witnessing a concerning rise in child abandonment rates.
Thank you for your investment in Project 19 - Baby Rescue. Because of you, Baby A and Baby L will sleep soundly with their hearts and bellies full.

Project 19 insight 1/7/20:
15 million babies are born too early every year. That is more than 1 in 10 babies worldwide. When a baby is born early and underweight, mothers use a method called Kangaroo Care, where she wears her baby 24hrs a day. This method helps with the baby's heartbeat regulation, weight gain, and bonding. Moms like these spend months in the hospital caring for their babies.
Through your support of Project 19, Impact Africa can dedicate their time to supporting, counseling, and building a relationship with these moms as they care for their babies. Get involved today in Project 19- Baby Rescue! #DoGoodGlobally #GiveYourMite

We are excited to be partnering for the 3rd time with Impact Africa on Project 19- Baby Rescue! According to a recent Medical Research Council study, approximately 3,500 children survive abandonment every year in South Africa. Estimates are that for every one child found alive, two are found dead. The Impact Africa Baby Rescue Center exists to prevent baby abandonment, rescue abandoned babies and provides life-long family care. We are committed to helping the most vulnerable in our world. Join us today. #GiveYourMite
Project 19 insight 10/22/19:
Learning to walk can be tricky business, but luckily for the babies at Impact Africa Baby Home, they’ve got a helping hand! All of Impact Africa’s Baby Rescue staff are registered as legal foster parents, which allows them to exist as a registered place of safety. When babies are placed in their baby dropbox, Impact Africa cares for them until they are legally cleared for an adoption process. #GiveYourMite
Project 19 Insight 10/15/19:
Impact Africa's Baby Rescue Center reaches out to hopeless women in impoverished communities through four different avenues: Crisis Pregnancy Counseling, Pregnancy & Parenting Help, Registered Place of Safety, and Baby Rescue Safe & Baby Home. "It is the goal of the center to rescue abandoned babies while also reaching out to pregnant women and new mothers. Our heart is to come alongside them as they journey through this season by providing counselling, prenatal, postnatal, and parenting education and training." Impact Africa
Project 19 Insight 10/8/19:
“It’s estimated that each day in Johannesburg, 3 to 4 babies are abandoned and left for dead. For the majority of residents in the squatter camps, this is a time of transition away from family, friends, and nation of origin. Therefore, this leaves young women vulnerable, isolated, and alone. With no one to look to for help and guidance, they are unequipped and unprepared to make decisions about their future, and are hopeless about the future of the child they are responsible to raise. Impact Africa is committed to being an advocate that will intervene on behalf of these desperate young mothers and their precious babies through rescuing and preventing babies from being abandoned, and ensuring a brighter future for these children through life-long family care.” Impact Africa
We are so excited to be partnering with Impact Africa on Project 19- Baby Rescue. Join us today and help the most vulnerable in our world. #GiveYourMite
