Was there a bathroom in your school? Did you ever consider how important that bathroom was for your hygiene and your studies' success? Something as basic as toilets are not always available at schools in remote and impoverished areas around the world. The hardship created by a lack of adequate restroom facilities can be significant and tend to be experienced to a higher degree by girls. Imagine not being able to go to school during your menstrual cycle. Your absence would affect your academic performance and development as a student.

Project 23 – Build a Bathroom is your opportunity to help young boys and girls with necessary bathroom facilities at their school. You see, Bentum Dreambuilders School in Ghana does not currently have toilet facilities. But we are going to change this by building a brand new restroom structure suited with all the necessary amenities to support good hygiene and outstanding academic achievement.

NO LONGER WILL YOUNG GIRLS HAVE TO MISS SCHOOL DAYS BECAUSE NO PLACE FOR PERSONAL HYGIENE IS AVAILABLE.

For Project 23, eMite is going to Ghana for the first time and partnering with Sub-Saharan Education Project, an organization supporting women and children's educational advancement in Ghana. They cultivate partnerships with marginalized communities in the country, invest in local resources, and provide education to women and children living in extreme poverty.

Working with the SSEP, we will improve daily attendance for the 180 students + 10 teachers at the school, building proper facilities with both urinals and stalls to assist students, teachers, and administrative staff. Join Project 23 - Build A Bathroom today and give children a dignified place to study with guaranteed essential services.
